Dr. Faver teaches that groomers are the first line of defense because they often see the pet more frequently than the veterinarian. Their role is to observe, document, communicate, and refer – not diagnose.
A 1987 graduate of Colorado State University, Dr. Faver is the founder and chief veterinarian of Animal Health Services, a 24-hour pet urgent and critical care center and full-service veterinary hospital. In 2006 he founded a dermatological wellness and grooming center inside the practice, Using Iv San Bernard cosmetic protocols alongside appropriate veterinary care. After years of documented results, he became the U.S. distributor for Iv San Bernard in 2011.
He serves on several national veterinary committees and associations, including AAHA, AzVMA, and AVMA.
Dr. Cliff Faver has spent his career at the intersection of veterinary medicine, skin and coat science, and professional pet care. An internationally respected veterinarian and educator, his work has helped bridge the gap between veterinary science and the grooming profession—giving pet care professionals a deeper understanding of the skin, coat, cosmetic ingredients, and the science behind the products and techniques they use every day.
As Owner of Iv San Bernard USA and Founder of Pet Skin Academy, Dr. Faver continues to advance professional education with a simple principle at the center of his teaching: put the “why” in what you do.
Suzanne brings 35 years of grooming experience and 24 years running her own business, most recently Uptown Paw, a 6,000 sq. ft. cage-free daycare, boarding, and grooming facility in Huntington Beach, California.
A charter member of both the Southern California Professional Groomers Association and California Professional Pet Groomers Association, she is a Certified Pet Aesthetician, an award-winning competitive groomer, and an AKC-licensed professional handler. She trained directly under Monique van de Ven, founder of the Iv San Bernard School in Tuscany, and is well versed in ozone therapy, competition grooming, and routine skin care — drawing on 16 additional years in veterinary care.
Heather has spent 13 years as a professional groomer and 11 years as owner of StylaPet Dog Spa in New Lenox, Illinois, using Iv San Bernard exclusively in her salon since 2018.
A nationally competitive groomer, she finished the 2017 season ranked #12 in the country and #2 in Illinois. She holds Nationally Certified Master Groomer status through the National Dog Groomers Association of America and is a Certified Pet Aesthetician through Iv San Bernard — having taught at the ISB Mega Show in Empoli, Italy, in 2019. Her focus areas include terriers, wire coats, and dogs with skin conditions.
Originally from Montreal, Steven spent 26 years in Italy, joining Iv San Bernard’s Italian headquarters in 2004 as Export Manager — a role he held for over 12 years, building official distribution across 25+ countries including the USA, Canada, France, Russia, China, and Japan.
He later reconnected with longtime friend and client Dr. Faver and joined ISB USA to support the company’s continued growth, bringing over a decade of international distribution and market-development experience.
Tish began her animal care career as an equine groomer before moving into dog grooming in 2001. She is an internationally trained Certified Pet Aesthetician (CPAe), a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider (CPACP), and an AKC Safety-Certified Groomer, holding a degree in animal science alongside experience as a veterinary technician.
An experienced show handler specializing in Australian Shepherds and Irish Water Spaniels, she competes across herding, conformation, Rally O, dock diving, and agility, and has served on the board of the Great Barrington Kennel Club and New England Pet Grooming Professionals.
